Krokodil
Bei der 1968 gegründeten ersten Schweizer "Supergruppe" Krokodil spielten u. a. Walti Anselmo (Gitarre), Düde Dürst (ex-Sauterelles; Schlagzeug), Hardy Hepp und später Max Lässer. Auf ihrem Debütalbum Krokodil (1969) spielte die Gruppe bluesorientierten Hard Rock mit sogenannt progressiven Arrangements, wodurch die Platte auch im Ausland Beachtung fand. Das zweite Album Swamp (1970) legte mehr Wert auf Virtuosität, sodass Geige und Sitar weiter in den Vordergrund rückten. Das dritte Album An invisible world revealed (1971) schliesslich gilt als Meilenstein des Progressive Rock der frühen 1970er Jahre.
Auf ihrem Album Sweat and swim coverten Krokodil das Kris Kristofferson-Lied "Billy Dee".
Die CD-Veröffentlichung der 1969 erstmals erschienenen Platte Krokodil enthält drei frühe, noch nie auf einem Album enthaltene Titel. Für Swamp wurden gar zwei unveröffentlichte Lieder und ein seltener Soundtrack-Titel ausgegraben. Auf An invisible world revealed sind zwei zusätzliche lange Sessions enthalten.
