Two Gallants
US-amerikanische Folk Rockgruppe ; gegründet 2002
Die Two Gallants wurden 2002 in San Francisco (Kalifornien, USA) von den beiden 20jährigen Adam Stephens (Gesang, Gitarre, Mundharmonika) und Tyson Vogel (Schlagzeug, Gesang) gegründet. Den Namen "Two Gallants gaben sie sich nach der gleichnamigen Kurzgeschichte aus James Joyce's Geschichtenzyklus Dubliners. Die Musik der Two Gallants bewegt sich irgendwo zwischen Folk Rock (Bob Dylan) und Punk.
Stephens und Vogel kannten sich schon seit ihrer Kindheit und musizierten bereits als Zwölfjährige zusammen. Nach der Gründung der Two Gallants 2002 traten sie erst auf privaten Partys und in Warenhäusern auf. Nach dem ersten Album The throes (2004) wechselten sie zur grösseren Plattenfirma Saddle Creek.
